As our class explores usability, I have been thinking more and more about how websites I use would score if they were evaluated by a usability expert.
I consider myself web savvy but creating a well planned and usable website is a great challenge. However, there is something to say about how it is time well spent, since users will find what they are looking for on your website and even return if they really like your content.
I think it will be a learning process for me, and sometimes a boring one at that. Let’s face it, discussing usability is not all that gripping. With that said, I share with you the Webcredibles Comic Strip for learning about the evils of websites that are not accessible.

This semester I am experimenting with the edublogs site for our Online Communications blog. Please let me know what you think.
I know we have had a messy schedule over the last couple of weeks, but I hope to bring everything together when the schedule returns to full class periods.
At the moment I think we need to begin to consider what we enjoy as users of websites. When we think about what makes a usable and enjoyable website, we may then do our best to create a website for our project that will serve others to the fullest.
Over the next couple of weeks we will see how we can turn our blog into a useful space to add information and document what we learn in class.
